The documents a returning researcher will need can be divided into two categories. Depending on nationality, returning researchers will need different immigration documents for entering Finland (see 1).
 
The Local Register Offices (maistraatti)are responsible for maintaining their regional Population Information System and their local information services. The office needs to be notified of your change of residence (see 2).
